Maggi’s Music

Music is my passion and has been an ever-present joy since childhood.

It is fascinating to experience music in all its moods and styles and I love sharing that fascination with others, whether I am conducting a choir, singing, teaching an instrument or composing. I hope that people are as excited by it as I am.

Throughout my mix-and-match career, teaching and playing music has been a foil to the other aspects of my life as a social worker and counsellor, keeping me balanced and restoring my sanity.

Based in North Norfolk I draw inspiration when I am composing from the countryside, woodland, sea and skies and love to write descriptive pieces which range from an orchestral depiction of a meteor shower to choral pieces and teaching/repertoire pieces for flute and piano.

Leaving social work behind, I went back to study (what a joy) for a Master’s Degree in Music Composition. I look forward now to more composing and to my conducting responsibilities with 3 choirs and a return to teaching flute and piano.
